Dr. Parul Mathur

Dr Parul Mathur is a psychiatrist trained at the National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru. She has 5+ years of experience in psychiatry working as a resident doctor and a senior resident at NIMHANS. She holds an MBBS degree from Saurashtra University. As a dedicated psychiatrist, her passion lies in a diverse array of critical mental health areas, including women's mental health, neurodevelopmental disorders in adults, perinatal psychiatry, trauma/grief and stress disorders, addressing the mental health consequences of gender-based violence, personality disorders and psychotherapy. She is whole-heartedly committed to LGBTQIA+ affirmative psychiatry, suicide prevention, and mental health advocacy. Dr Parul holds the membership of the International Association for Women’s Mental Health (IAWMH). She firmly believes that mental health cannot be confined to hospital settings and that holistic and accessible treatment is vital.
